What to do in Pairs
1. Tape the meter stick against a table leg or the wall so that it is vertical
2. The recorder will knell/squat/sit down to get a good view of the ruler.
3. The jumper will jump as high as they can (from a flat standing start).
4. Recorder writes down the highest point cleared by the jumpers feet.
5. Repeat 3 times, and switch jobs.
