Identified problem
Inadequate watering of through
passing coaching trains at platform

GRAVITY OF THE PROBLEM


1.It is highly sensitive issue for passengers.
2. customer dissatisfaction
3.Loss of Punctuality
4. Agitation by passengers.
5. Loss of Rly. Property during agitation.

1. Responsible person (counseled) to attend properly and with


the help of SSE works to rectify the same.(10% to 5%).
2. Sufficient W/H/valve kept in our store for replacement.
(15%to 5%)
3. Water hose replaced when deficient.(5% to 0%)
4. W/H/leakage regular inform to SSE works to repair the
same.(15%to 10%)
5. Jubli clip secured all water hose properly.(5%to0%).
6.Land phone and VHF set Provided to valve operator.(20% to
10%).
7. Misuse of water arrested with the help of RPF staff.(15% to
10%)

PROBABLE CAUSES TO THE PROBLEMS


1.Main delivery valve partially opened and Defective.10%
2.Water hydrant valves dummy and defective.

3. Water hose of hydrant deficient.

4. The rate of flow at the delivery of hydrant valve should


not be less than 100 lts./min.

5. A minimum halt of 10 min. of all coaching trains i.e. 10


min. for 18 coaches and 15 to 20 min.for 24 coaches.

ANALYSIS OF THE CAUSES


It has been observed that 60% of the failures are caused due to
SL.NO. 1 2 3 6 8 9 and 11 of the probable causes .

Setting objectives
To reduce the failures of watering of through passing passenger
trains due to causes mentioned in SL.NO.1 2 3 6 8 9 11 from 60%
to10%

Suggestions from team members


To provided optimum level satisfaction to customer. We have to overcome
arrest all faulty and irregularities as said above.

We have executed water supply system on coaching trains at platform by
arresting said abnormalities to meet customer satisfaction level to a great
extent .
