Reflection
The recourses we gained during class have provided us with an edge on what
it looks like to have a technology-based classroom. This class has opened up my eyes
in showing me technology is not a waste of time when used appropriately. The
resources demonstrated to us have all been useful tools to assist our students

learning. It has also taught us what is expected from is at the Alliance. Throughout
this course I have learned many valuable tools that I plan to use during the
semester.
The most important thing that I learned was if you are going to use
technology in a classroom it should enhance the learning. Having a technologybased classroom is not when students are taking notes on laptops or reading articles
from their ipads. That is simply replacing resources from paper to electronic. There
are so many different tools we learned about that are simple to use and help student
grow as learners.
When I have my own classroom I plan to use Google Classroom with my
students. Creating a class was one of my favorite tools and I think students will
benefit from it. I really enjoyed the layout of the classroom and how organized it
was. This is not only useful for a teacher but students as well because they need
structure. Google classroom makes everything easier. It also give students the ability
to see what will be done after it has already been done. I like that you are able to
turn homework in and provide a grade. The reminder on the side will help the
students no what is due and when. Also in Google classroom the teacher can put
artifacts like the digital agenda or allows students to answer on a document
provided by downloading the document. This is definitely a recourse I plan to
implement in my class.
Overall this semester was great and it was a privilege to have been taught by
you. I believe that we were luck to have experienced what you know in a small
group rather than most people how only get you during Alliance PD. The knowledge
you shared, I will carry it through my teaching career. Thank you
