My passion is blacksmithing.

Blacksmithing is the process of heating up metal until it is

malleable and then working it into different shapes. I found out about blacksmithing at Foxfire.
Foxfire is a place where people do things people did in the 1800s. Blacksmithing is one of them.
When I saw the blacksmithing I knew I wanted to do it. So I worked hard to get a forge and the
tools needed for blacksmithing. I love to blacksmith because, one it is fun to pound on hot metal
and two I can make artistic things with my own two hands. I am hoping to have a future in
blacksmithing.
On my forge I have learned how to make rings and other things. I sell these to get more
money or tools and materials. I have just recently joined a blacksmithing gild. I have not had a
chance to go to one of the meetings yet but I am looking forward to going. As I learn more about
blacksmithing and how to make new pieces of art I can advance my blacksmithing experience.
To blacksmith you need quite a few supplies to get started. Some of the first things you
will need are a forge and an anvil. You will also need an assortment of different hammers and
tongs. You need fuel for the fire so you use coal. It is also helpful to have some sort of clamp. A
bucket of water is required so you can cool down the metal. If you want to start blacksmithing
there are many resources you can look into.
