the story The God of Cake by Allie Brosh. Not only is the little girl determined to overcome
her obstacle towards getting her grandfathers 73rd birthday cake all to herself, but keeping her
anxious desire keeps her fighting towards the end to achieve what she wants the most which is
the sugary frosted cake. In this story, her mother becomes her main obstacle as she is getting in
the way of her eating the cake all by herself. As her mother hid the cake and kept it away from
her one way or the other, the little cake monster finds many different creative was to get her
hands on the cake hours before her grandfathers birthday party. As she forgets about her
possible negative consequences while trying to go after the cake, she desperately wanted the
cake and even though she learns a very unpleasant punishment from her actions at the end of her
battle, she got what she wanted and she got a feeling of invincibility towards her mother. This
story not only gives us a perfect and descriptive example of how strongly minded youngsters are
in terms of getting what they want but it teaches us the importance of knowing the consequences
behind every action committed. There will always be access to getting what you most truly want
however, coming to realize exactly the outcome of your actions becomes more important in the
end. Not only did the little girl go against her mothers permission in eating the whole cake all by
