SS ———— First Grade News October 23, 2014 Don’t forget parent-teacher conferences next week! ail We will have half days | October 29th, 30th, and 31st. Last week we finished up our apple theme. First graders listened to different versions of Johnny Apples sed on the main idea and details in the stories. Friday was our Harvest Feast, Sarah and Oscar's moms came in to help us make our yogurt parfaits; we used from our garden at the HEJ School. Students even: fiesh raspberries jsited us Friday afternoon to help us make sure we had plenty for the Feast! te test...yum! Hope parfaits, We wanted , Miss Muleahy has “taken over” the classroom, Our theme Open House is is folktales and fairytales. First graders showed that they 1 prior knowledge about folktales; we made a chart about tonight, 10/23, FOIE isc the things we already know about folktales, and al of the things baie we hope to learn this week. Stuclents made “Wanted” posters of the: SNCSETS ERR Ed Bic Bad Wolf We compared two versions of The Three Little Pigs.
