Name of Artifact: Personal Statement Power Point Project

Date: October 20th, 2014
Course: EDUC 101

Brief Description: I created a power point to explain Why I want to teach. I will also explain the traits I possess to be a great teacher. In this power point I
listed the characteristics of the students and community I would love to teach in. In addition, Ive listed ways that I hope to contribute to my students and
community.

Rationale: To document my understanding of Standard #8, Instructional Strategies, I documented my understanding of the importance of being encouraging
and positive in order to be an effective teacher. Its important to be accepting and flexible because you will have to use many different teaching strategies. I
also explained the importance of my students being able to take the skills/knowledge learned inside the classroom and use it outside the classroom.
