Dear Parents,

As man of you may already know, the Oak Pines school district takes great pride in
providing its students and their families the best education possible. In part with not only
providing the best education to our community, our district also puts emphasis on giving our
students the tools to expand their minds, and talents. This school year our district has given
us the opportunity to expand our elective option courses to our elementary school levels,
starting with the 6th graders.

As you begin helping your child choose classes for the upcoming quarter, I would
urge you to look into signing up for my Spanish class. My aim in this course is to not only
teach your child a second language, but to also bring it to them in a entertaining and life
changing fashion. I hope you understand the ever increasing importance of the Spanish
language, and are willing to give your child a head start by siging them up for this new
course.

Our already bright students at RiverSide Elementary starting next quarter will
have a few new elective courses to fit into their schedules in prepration for their junior high
transisition. One of the electives being provided now is a Spanish course in which I, myself
will be teaching. With the Spanish language being a big part of our society in The United
States, but especially in California, I find this course is essential for our students. Not only
is the Spanish language lovely, interesting, and unique, it also offers students to broaden
their horizons and expand their future prospects.
