The problem identified in this article is that the amount of recyclable paper thrown away
in New York City equals to that of the Empire State Building. The proposal is that you the
citizen recycle all your paper/plastic to prevent this. The article uses several images to suggest or
imply a few different things, it shows huge infrastructures drawn as if it were made up of paper
and plastic things we use on a day to day basis. This is to create imagery and show you the
power of numbers and that if even 1 out of every 5 people dont recycle it would still be a lot of
waste.

Reflection: In this entry of Exercise 15.3 we looked at a few images in an article that symbolized
the amount of waste created in just one city of one state in the U.S. I chose this exercise because
it took a mild understanding of symbolism and the use of images to express things that words
might not be powerful enough for.
