Write in 1-3 clear, concise sentences, your definition of main idea, topic, topic
Sentence or at least what you think it should be. Construct a definition that
Would make sense to you.

Main Idea is:

The most important part of the paragraph, it is the point that the author wants you to
remember most.
Topic is:
A subject about what youre discussing. This could be a speech, essay, thesis or
discourse.
Topic Sentence is:
Expresses the main point in a paragraph. State and summarize the main point of a
paragraph.

Summarize the parts of the essay in your own words.

Introduction:
Is the general statement and information about the topic. Also a thesis statement as well.
Body Paragraph:
Support the main ideas of the thesis statement, begin with topic sentences.
Conclusion:
Is a brief summary of main points of the essay. Also include an opinion, a prediction or a
solution to a problem.
