Issue
What is the procedure for adding the P&UD drawing number to a specification page?
Environment
Reported in Version: SP_Instrumentation 7 (07.00.00.0052)
Resolution
In SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI), select Modules> Specifications, Select Edit> Page Editor. Select Actions>
Open Page, On the Select Specification Page window, highlight the desired Specification Page row and click OK.
Select Actions> Edit Columns and Headers. On the Edit Columns and Headers window, click View Names and click
Column List. In the Column List window, drag and drop the pid_no column to the appropriate location an the
specification page. Select Actions> Edit Columns and Headers to exit that mode. Select Actions> Save as File,
specify a File name, select the Save as type Report Files(*.PSR), and click Save. In a Windows Explorer window,
double click on the PSR to open It with InfoMaker, The Preview tab Is Initially displayed. Select the Design tab.
Right click on the column pid_no and select Properties. On the Edit tab, for the Style Type select DropDownDW. For
the DataWindow, enter the value d_dddw_spec_pd_dwg_name and hit the Enter key. In the Display Column, select
éwg_name. In the Data Column, select dwg_id. Select File> Save and File> Exit to close InfoMaker.
In the SPI Specifications module, select Edit> Page Editor, Select Actions> Open File. On the Open File window,
select the modified PSR file and click Open. If the Page Editor ! Message "Columns,
PD_GENERAL.PD_STAT,PD_GENERAL,LINE_ID,SPEC_SHEET_DATA.SPEC_ENTITY_TYPE_ID are required for
‘Specification Page. You can add them using InfoMaker or use SmartPlant Instrumentation regeneration feature. Do
you wish to continue and regenerate this page?” displays, click Yes and on the Regenerate Page window click OK.
Select Actions> Save as Page. On the Save Specification Page, to update the original Specification Page,
highlight it, click OK, and then display a specification using this page to see if it works, To create a new
Specification Page, click New and on the Page Definition Properties window, enter the Page name and Description
and click OK, The new specification page can then be used by updating the original specification form or creating a
new one, When a new specification form is used, Actions> Change Spec Forms can be used to associate it with an
existing instrument specification,
When updating the orginal speciation form, frst keep a copy ofthe orignal PSR sot can be reloaded If the modified version doos not work as
expected
