The Romanian Orthodox church from the neighborhood "Maier I", from Alba

Iulia, dedicated to the Holy Trinity,, was built in 1795, being founded by the archpriest
Nicolae Ratiu, known as confessor of romanian martyrs Horea, Closca and Crisan.
Churchs architecture has a "ship" style, with both a large central dome vaulted
and a smaller calotte. The altars dome is divided into four sides and the church tower,
which has a cover, remembers of the churches style from Kiev, Ukraine. The
actual
painting style is "fresco" and iconostasis furniture are made of oak wood, according to
the traditional Romanian style. The three church bells are cast from bronze melted from
the enemies cannons capturated in the First World War.
In front of the church lies a marble triptych (crux) , located on the former
triptych(crux), old and wooden made, on which was mentioned the year 1727, and
probably was part of a much older church on this place.
In this church are serving the priests Niculi Pascu, Nicolae Toprcean and the
Archdeacon Nicolae-Clin Bulac.
The Orthodox church ,,Maieri I is an architectural and historical monument,
recognized by The Minister of Culture from Romania.
