Amendment by Punjab Govt.


If the deceased person does not leave a dependent,
survivors pension shall be payable for life to a
dependent father, and if he is not alive, to a dependent
mother, and if she is not alive, to dependent brothers
and sisters in equal shares, at a rate equal to one half of
the rate of total disablement pension. Survivors pension
shall terminate:
Upon the death of the survivor
Where the survivor is a widow, upon her remarriage
Where the survivor is a dependent child, upon his
attaining the age of 21 years. Such age limit shall not
apply to dependent unmarried daughters.
