This month our volunteer spotlight honors the 2014 Business Partner of the Year:

Hunzinger Construction Company.

Hunzinger Construction has, without a doubt, demonstrated their commitment to
supporting their community in more ways than one. Their Charity Jeans Day helps support
dozens of local agencies by allowing employees to dress down for a cause with Hunzinger
matching the contribution. Their involvement in the Make-A-Wish Foundation has mobilized
employees at all levels to volunteer and help with fundraising. They have also assisted many
non-profit organizations with construction dreams that monetarily and physically would have
been unable to happen without their contributions.
Not only have they assisted non-profit organizations, but they have also teamed up with
other community members, such as the Boys Scouts and various schools, to help put together
Troop Care Packages. It started as an in-house effort after John Hunzinger learned of an
employee whose brother was abroad, but since its inception eight years ago, it has become a
year-round community effort. As of December 2013, they have sent an astonishing 30 tons worth
of goods overseas!
Hunzinger Construction Company truly LIVES UNITED by helping strengthen this
community!
