Course details: This course is aimed at people who are keen to work in the NHS in positions such as Health Care
Assistants, Administrators, Porters, Ward Housekeepers or Receptionists.
Course Timetable: This is a 12 week course (120 hours) and is held at Westminster Kingsway College, Regents
Park Centre, Longford Street, London NW1 3HB. Sessions are held on Monday or Tuesday from 9.30am to 3.30pm
with a break for lunch.
Qualification: You will achieve the NCFE Level 1 Certificate in Employability Skills. You will build a portfolio of evidence
during the course which will be a record of your learning. There is no exam on this course.
Entry requirements: You must be committed to improving your employability skills. You may have been out of work for
some time, have never worked before, have been raising a family or have been made redundant. You will need to be
fluent in spoken English, to have been resident in the UK or EU for at least 3 years and be permitted to work.
Acceptance on the course is through an initial assessment/interview. Learners are expected to attend every session.
*Please note: all students must pay a 25 registration/enrolment fee. Progression routes: This course cannot
guarantee a job; however many former students are now working in a range of full and part-time posts in the NHS.
