Research Question: What are places doing to make zoos feel like the wild for animals?
Working Thesis Statement: Due to natural and human interference, animals are losing their
homes and zoos are now starting to create methods to make exhibits feel more like the wild for
the animals.
Refined Thesis Statement: Due to natural and human interference that leads to habitat
destruction, zoos are now starting to create methods to make exhibits feel more like the natural
homes the animals had in the wild.

This article shows many of the standards zoos are required to have in them. Without these
standards zoos would not be allowed to operate. There are requirements that must be met in
order for the zoos to withhold animals. This article ranges in standards from documented records
of animals plans to resources needed to care for the different types of animals. This article
discusses the importance of finding and protecting a system for animal welfare in zoos. This
article will help me with my paper because it shows what zoos are doing to try to find good
solutions for providing the best living space for animals.

This article discusses many of the ways modern zoos are trying to make their zoos more
like the wild for animals and more enjoyable for the animals. The zoo keepers are finding many
new ways to keep the animals entertained and giving the illusion of still being out in the wild.
This article shows how it is important that animals get different ways to eat and live in their habit
so they do not become bored of zoo life. The zoo keepers take pride in their work and like trying
to make each day different for the animals in the zoo. Some zoo keepers will play with the
animals to give them the joy of interacting with another animal, in this case humans. This article
will help me with my paper because it shows how zoos are trying to make exhibits more
entertaining for the animals so they have to feeling of being out in the wild.
