The Lorax
Earth Day Flowers

Science

Summary
This lesson is combined with the music lesson from the day
before. Yesterday the students were taught a new song,
planted seeds in egg cartons that they painted, and were
taught about the different items plants need to grow.
Today students will learn about the different parts of a
plant and later create a new plant of their own. Students
will write a summary on what their plant needs to grow as
well as what their new plant does to help the environment
(Gives us oxygen to breath, turns garbage into its food so
that waste is reduced, ect.) After they are finished with the
project students will come together as a group and share
what they have created.
