Goals for My Future

My educational goal is to obtain a degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences. My personal goal
is to have a career that will allow me to support a family while also making a difference in
peoples lives. My career goal is to be a research scientist who is an educator as well. As a
specialist, it will be my duty to educate my fellow man empowering him to be in control of his
own health. Armed with both my education and my love for others, it is my goal to be a
member of the medical team that one day finds a cure that ends the pain and suffering
caused by life-threatening illnesses that affect so many of the human race today.

Community Service/Volunteer Activities

The Dove Farm worked with an organic farmer where I learned the difference between
true organically grown and agri-business produced foods and their nutritional values, or
lack thereof. I volunteered during the summer after my junior year (2013).

Cooking Regional with International Children worked with a chef and his non-profit
organization devoted to proving the correlation between food and health to the world by
showing people of the community tasteful preparations of organically grown foods. End
result, food is health! I began during the summer after my junior year (2013) and
continue to volunteer as much as possible.

Activities and Interests

Vacationing: I enjoyed spending time out of each year to vacation with my family
members. Not only did I get to see a lot of new adventurous areas and try new sporting
activities, but it opened my eyes up to just how big our world really is.
Reading: One of my favorite past times was grabbing a book, heading outside and laying
on the hammock under the shade of the trees. Within the first 20 minutes of the book,
Id be asleep, but it was the best 20 minutes of every book Ive enjoyed.

Employment

HEB (9/2013 to 04/2014) worked as a bagger/customer service assistant.
