5 Minute Lesson Plan
Goal: Students will be able to identify the common vocabulary found within the sport of
volleyball.

Vocabulary: Spike, Ace, Kill, Dig, Serve

1. Write down vocabulary words and ask students what they think everyone means. Use that
to anchor the new vocabulary terms that are in volleyball.
2. Explain the basics of volleyball: 25 points, best of fives or threes, 6 players
3. Recap the vocabulary terms to ensure students understand their meanings
