Dear Parents and Students,

WELCOME! I am looking forward to a great year of learning with your child.
A critical element in a childs success throughout their academic years, will be their
readiness and desire to learn. You will help them be successful by encouraging and
motivating them to know why they are going to school to learn!
Our year is full of learning through memorizing, repetition, and participation. Well
have fun using poems, songs, and games to develop many new concepts. To keep you,
the parent, informed as to what we are learning and what to expect, I will be sending
home a weekly newsletter for the first semester and a monthly calendar the second
semester.
Please stress to your child that obedience in school is essential. We, as teachers, uphold
you, the parent, to your child. We ask that you uphold the teacher to your child. When
you have a concern or question, please communicate it with us. For the well-being of the
child, we must uphold each other, communicate effectively and work together.
To motivate good behavior, each student will have a star sticker chart for good behavior.
At the end of day, if their star is on green, they will get a star to place on their chart.
When their chart is full, the student can get a prize from the prize box.
For the first quarter, we will send home a Star Report each day indicating where you
childs star was that day.
I am greatly looking forward to the 2014-2015 school year. Above all I want each student
feel safe coming to class, and to know that I love and care for them.
Thank you,
Miss Christine Pearson
