This scene is captured on the episode "A Scandal in Belgravia," of the BBC drama
"Sherlock." About 13 minutes in to the episode, Watson is escorted to the
Buckingham Palace. As he walks through the palace's corridors, a series of long shots
follows him until he meets Sherlock Holmes. The long shots used, just like the one
below gives context to the viewers. By putting all of Watson's body into the frame,
viewers can see Watsons confused body language. The long shot also displays
the extravagance of the palace. Viewers can make this inference form the antique
furniture, fancy wood paneling, and chandlers seen through the long shot. The
filming of this scene makes the viewer's just as curious as Watson in regard to what
he is doing there.
