Silver Bay Seafoods

has had much success


in the Alaskan fishing
industry.
Their newest venture however is in Bristol Bay, the
home of the largest Salmon
run in the world.
With their success in Sitka,
Valdez, and Craig, Alaska
Silver Bay has been out
competing other canneries
like Trident.

Trident had the largest


number of boats in
Bristol Bay, of the 1800
permits that are available they had over 950
of them.

They are the main competition


for Trident and have now moved
to Tridents last hold, Bristol Bay.

Outdoorsman Jim Burnworth,
known for his show Western Extreme. Met with fishermen in
the area and was guaranteeing
prices that are to start at a $1.50
a pound.
With competition in Bristol Bay
like this the people who really
