CORRECTIONS TO MERCHANT SHIPPING NOTICE NO. M. 1273

Control of Pollution by Noxious Liquid Substances in Bulk
Implementation of Annex II to MARPOL 1973/78
1. In paragraph 2, thirteenth line, of the Notice, after the words the
Department, the following words should be inserted:
in the case of United Kingdom ships, or in the case of other ships, by or
on behalf of the government of the flag state,.
2. In Annex 2 to the Notice, page 5, the following amendments should be made
to the paragraph references in column (o), headed Special Requirements (see
Chapters 15, 16 and 16A):
(a) Against the entry for Rosin, for 16.2.7 substitute 16.2.6;
(b) Against the entry for Tall Oil (crude and distilled), for 16.2.616.2.8
substitute 16.2.6, 16.2.9.
