of what I had worked on over the summer. Eventually, | found out that all the hard work over the
Summer paid off, and 1 had made the team! When the practices and games started, I had a great
time. From scoring baskets to playing defense, | felt like I was eontributing to my team. I may
have not been the star player, but it satisfied me that out of so many’ basketball players in my
schoo], I had become one of the best. a

improve and prove themselves to other people that they deserve to part of a team or group. Far
‘example, Abraham Lincoln lost many elections before he became president. He kept working at
it and eventually accomplished his goal. Thomas Edison failed matty times before he invented
the light-bulb, but eventually did succeed in making it beewuse he never gave up. Like them, I
now know und have experienced thal if I work hard towards @ goal and never give up, I should
eventually succeed.
