Passing Note: A passing note is a note that does not belong to the harmony but connects
two pitches in stepwise movements and usually occurs on the weak beat.
Accented passing note: An accented passing note is the same as a passing note however it
would be played on the strong beat of the bar. Examples of an accented passing note may
be a suspension or appoggiatura.
Anticipation: Anticipation occurs when a note is played before the chord that note belong
to and resolves when we reach that anticipated chord.
