You and your team will compete against Susan and Lauren in the race at the track. This is cross-curricular project and you will have tasks to complete and potential grades in your Math, PE, Humanities, and Science classes. * Your team must work cooperatively to solve the problem. No team member has enough information to solve the puzzle alone. Each member of your team will select runner A, B, C, or D. You may not show your card, but you may communicate the information on the card. * Assume that each runner travels at a constant rate throughout the race. © Susan's and Lauren’s cards can be shared with the entire team. * Pay close attention to all that happens out on the track as each student will have both team and individual responsibilities in each of the classes mentioned above. MathTasks (25 points): As team, do the following: * Draw a graph showing each of the 6 runners’ progress over time. (Do this on your yoga using Geometers Sketchpad and print out). (12 points ~ 2 point for each correct graph) * Write an equation for each of the 6 participants. List your equations on a separate piece of paper and attach to your graph.
