Compare Trees

Childrens sort should show the trees with needle-like leaves in one pile and
the trees with broad leaves in another.
Directions: Have children tell how the trees are alike by naming common parts such as roots,
trunk, and leaves. Then have them cut out each picture. Ask children to sort the trees according
to those that have needle-like leaves and those that have broad leaves. Encourage children to
explain why they put particular trees in each group.
