Dean Paniza

ABOUT ME:
Hi! My name is Dean Paniza. I
am currently an undecided
freshman student in California
State University, Northridge.
Working out, singing, and
playing the guitar are some of
my hobbies/stress relievers. I
like discovering new things and
traveling with close friends and
family.

THE LOREM IPSUMS

WINTER 2016

ESSAY AND WHY YOU CHOSE THEM:

The Essays that I chose were: The Impacts: Resistance,
Violence, and Discrimination and The Raunchy Culture.
The first one is about the impacts of clashing religious
beliefs and cultural differences while the other one
trails the consequences of our hyper-sexualized society.
I chose these topics because they both caught my
attention and really made it hard for me to pick what
side to vote on.

SIGNIFICANCE OF TOPICS:

In the first essay, I discussed

the significance of resolving

DEVELOPMENT:
REVISIONS:
I revised and addressed all of
the mistakes that I have made
on my rough drafts and added
more evidences to make my
claims clearer. I also fixed my
formatting and punctuation
errors.

I believe the area I

improved a lot is
unpacking
information in a
given text and
determining the
main argument of
the writer.

opposing beliefs and

opinions without the use
of violence or rebelling
and discriminating.
Additionally, I covered in
my second essay, the very
hyper sexualized
society that is
influencing
womens behaviors.

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES OF WRITING:

My strengths would probably be getting quotes from a given
source and integrating them in my paper. Moreover, I believe I
use more complex punctuations such as semi-colons and dashes.
My weaknesses as a writer would be clearly providing
examples to support my evidences, proper use of transitions,
formatting (citations), and most importantly coming up with a
debatable thesis.

MOST IMPORTANT THING I LEARNED:

The most important thing I learned this semester is unpacking information and
determining the argument of the author. As well as taking a side in an argument.
