SOCIAL

The social factor plays a big role in creating the digital divide. This basically refers to the type of society you live in or
work at. For example, the type of society a person lives in may not necessarily be a big one or a well-educated one. Due to
this, people living in such societies may lack knowledge pertaining to ICT. Families living in a society where technology isnt
used much may not be very ICT literate. Also, if a person has a field job; such that involves a lot of manual work, he may as
well loose his touch of ICT knowledge. Same would be the case for labor class people.
