The main aim of this project is to detecting the presence of any unauthorized person in
any specific time interval using microcontroller.

PURPOSE:
The Purpose of this project is to detect the presence of any unauthorized person in any
specific time interval; it triggers an alarm & sets up a call or message to a predefined number
through a GSM modem.

DESCRIPTION:

This paper proposes a PIR sensor based low cost security system for home applications in
which Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor has been implemented to sense the motion of human
through the detection of infrared radiated from that human body. PIR device does not emit an
infrared beam but passively accepts incoming infrared radiation PIR sensor detects the presence
of human in the home and generates pulse which is read by the microcontroller. According to the
pulse received by microcontroller, it checks the persons identity by using RFID reader if the
person is authorized then it wont give any buzzer and SMS otherwise a SMS is sent to mobile
station through a GSM modem and thus warns the presence of human in the home to owneroccupier by a SMS. On the other hand, this security system remains in idle position and performs
nothing if no one is in the home.

In this project we are using GSM modem. GSM means Global System for Mobile
communications. it is a hugely successful wireless technology now a days it has become the
world's fastest growing communications technology . GSM is an open, digital cellular
technology used for transmitting mobile voice and data services. The GSM operates in the
900MHz and 1.8GHz bands GSM supports data transfer speeds of up to 9.6 kbps, allowing the
transmission of basic data services such as SMS.
