WorldGBC terms and definitions:
Established GBC – a Green Building Council with WorldGBC Established Member status.
Emerging GBC – a Green Building Council with WorldGBC Emerging Member status, working towards achieving
Established member status.
Prospective GBC – a group who has been officially recognized by WorldGBC as the entity establishing a GBC in
their country and working towards gaining Emerging Member status (have submitted an Expression of Interest
which has been approved by WorldGBC).
Associated Group – a group who has been recognized by WorldGBC as an entity establishing a GBC in their
country and working towards gaining WorldGBC Prospective Member status (have been in communication with
WorldGBC and are working on putting together an Expression of Interest).
