We must be courageous at all times. Like John, we must act according to our
convictions and persevere despite setbacks

Like John, we must not be easily influenced by gossip, folklore or superstition.
Despite his fears, uncertainly and the warning of his friend Paul Harris, John is
determined to find out what important message his doppelganger is trying to
give him. Indirectly, this help to save him from a family tragedy.

Textual evidence
- Johns encounters with his doppelganger puzzles and scares him. His haunted
dreams made things worse. Thus, he cannot focus on his work, goes nightly to
the Gergely caf, argues with andrea and allows his relationship to deteriorate.
Things only improves at least for a while when he confides in her.
- The first part of the christmas holiday in england is fine but, when they are in
hungarian countryside with andreas parent, john forgets himself and lets his
mind wander again to his doppelganger. This anger his wife and she
reprimands him.

Lesson learnt
often we are blinded by the need to achieve immediate results and instant
satisfication that we lose our rationality. Johns problems with his wife teach us
the importance of rationality and moderation in our actions. Otherwise,
relationship are affected, wrong decisions are made and lives are destroyed.

It is important to be rational and moderate in our outlook and behaviour. Only
then we would be able to think more clearly, act justly and speak with care and
cautions.

-john is probably a diligent, efficient and responsible worker. That is why he
offered a promotion and a chance to relocate to hungary.
-john works long hours. Although it is a thirty-minutes walk ach way, he walk to
and from work daily.

hard work and diligence energizes and inspire us to persevere and succeed.

like john and Andrea, we must be willing to work hard, not just work smart.
Diligence in work and studies ensure that we have done our best and are
rewarded justly.

-andrea cooperate with her husband after he tells her about first encounter
with the doppelganger. She accompanies him to felka utca and helps him
question the residents there
-although she does not like her husbands continued obession , andrea
responds to johns appeal to be with him on the first anniversary of encounter.
This eases johns fears and gives him another pair of eyes to witness events.

Lessons learnt
it is important to cooperate in a family and in society. Cooperation between
people makes work easier, more pleasant and efficient. This can be seen in
johns experience with his wife and withy society

we must be cooperative as far as possible and as long truth, righteousness and
