ASSISTANT PROJECT DIRECTOR
JOB DESCRIPTION
Description of Overall Responsibilities and Skills/Traits Required:
‘The Assistant Project Director is responsible for providing program and staff support and developing
resources for the project director and the 21 CCLC sites. The Assistant Director should have strong
organizational and administrative skills, good interpersonal skills and communication skills, good
writing and computer skills, and experience in youth and family services, public education or recreation.
1. Work with the Director in supporting 3 - 21st CCLC sites in program design, continuos
improvement, and evaluation,
2, Work to increase site and cross-site initiatives to build protective factors (e.g. mentoring, prevention
curricula, etc.)
3. Work with director and local sites to build and support local activities.
4, Work with director and local site coordinators on sustainability through grant writing, local
partnerships, support from community businesses, and special events planning,
5, Support sites in data collection and evaluation for federal and state reporting requirements and assist
in completing reports to all grant funding sources.
6. Work with director to provide monthly budget updates to sites
7. Work with director to plan regular site coordinator meetings, training’, and events.
8, Assist the director in developing or procuring curricula and other resources, (such as
speakers/trainers and supplies) for sites.
9, Research possible sustainable funding opportunities and assist in development of grant applications.
