Curriculum Information

Each quarter will focus on an Essential Question. This

question will guide students study of literature through
reading, writing, and class discussions. These questions are
meant to help learners not only comprehend the texts being
read, but also to gain a deeper understanding of the world
around them and their own personal views.
Quarter 1: How does conflict shape ones identity?
Quarter 2: How are people shaped by their
relationships with others?
Quarter 3: What allows some individuals to stand
against injustice while others choose to participate in it?
Quarter 4: When an individuals choices are in direct
conflict with society, what are the consequences?
