David Haigh Hires New Lawyers After Nine and a Half Weeks In Dubai Jail

David Haigh, the former Managing Director of Leeds United FC who has been held in a Dubai jail for
more than two months without criminal charge or trial, has bolstered his legal defence team with
the hiring of leading international law firm, Stephenson Harwood Middle East LLP.
Rovine Chandrasekera, Managing Partner and Shiraz Sethi, Associate will be heading the team with
respect to the civil actions and criminal allegations made against Mr. Haigh. They will be working
closely with their London dispute resolution team.
The civil actions against Haigh, 37, have been made by his former employers GFH Capital who
previously owned a majority shareholding in Leeds United before selling up to Massimo Cellino last
season.
Haigh continues to contest all allegations made against him and maintains his innocence of any
wrongdoing.
