We only start projects after weve received a $300 deposit,

said Marta, talking over the phone to a prospective client. Take your
time. Well be here when youre ready. She hung up the telephone and
smiled at Silvia.
Look at you. A business real woman.
Dont rub it in, Silvia, lesson learned.
Didnt you say Juan would be on CNN in a few minutes?
Crap, your right. Marta grabbed at pieces of fabric and threw
them through the air looking for the remote control. I think its
channel, 45. No, its 47. There we go.
Marta and Silvia watched as the cameras panned over the crowd.
Official estimates report, said an anchorman who sat high
above the spectators, that more than 1 million people are currently
down on the national mall.
Did you hear that Silvia?
Both Marta and Silvia started screaming and jumping up and
down, embracing each other and laughing.
Taking the stage now, said one of the news commentators is a
young student from Robeleau University. Lets take a listen.
Marta heard the yelling for her son. She thought he looked
confident with his chest out and his chin up. She saw Juan take a deep
breath, and so did she, holding on to her rosary beads.
Id like to thank all of you, said Juan. The crowd erupted as his
voice echoed over the heads of more than a million spectators. Id like
to thank you, not for believing in me, but for believing in yourselves.
As Marta watched the rest of the speech, she simple let the tears
fall. So did Juan.
The End.
