A test of the model vas conduetod using 2 path analytic approach with LISREL 8.30 hypathesizingincvidual ‘organizational and sozietamarket factors influencing ethical confit in practice and autonomy. Maximum liketiiood ‘estimation was used to estimate the parameters most likely to have generated the data. Forty-five percent ofthe total ‘varance in ethical confct was explained by the variables of tical anvienmant and atrical concem. Ethical ecncem, idealistic philosophy. ethics education in continuing education, percentage of cent population enrolled in managed care, 31 ‘market penetration explained 15% ofthe total varance in autonomy.
