The Work Plan " The Olive and Olive Oil in Health, Nutrition, Religion and Tradition " was an
environmental, a two-year, transnational project between Greece and Cyprus "Gold-Leaf " which included
the first High School of Trikala, Greece and worked with high school Aglantzia, Cyprus. This program
involved fourteen students in our school, seven boys and seven girls and as many high school students
Aglantzia, Cyprus. Pedagogical principles of the program is the interdisciplinary approach, the experiential
approach, teamwork, the opening of school in society, democratic dialogue, fostering critical thinking and
the move from words to deeds. The expansion in history, culture, social issues and the issue of peace in
relations between peoples do training program for Sustainability.
Pupils / students of both schools with key reference olives and olive oil transnational cooperation to
complete a work plan and to develop skills such as critical thinking, observation, collection, recording,
sorting data and draw conclusions, create cooperative ties with pupils / students from other schools and
especially the school Aglantzia Cyprus, to understand important environmental problems such as rising
temperatures, melting ice caps, global warming, acid rain and the effect of human activities on the
environment.
