First StanzaI am from Petawawa
From rivers and streams
And everything in between
I am from the Ottawa valley
The greatest theres ever been
I sight youve never seen

I am from the pine tree forests

The pine tree forests that fill the land
Every Christmas a family tradition,
To decorate them the best we can
I am from the Easter egg hunt
Whenever the bunny comes around

Second Stanza-

From hockey skates and late night dates

I am from a secular land
Born in Westmeath, where farms make their ground beef
The valley has always been my home
The house with the red roof,
Radtke road, weve always called our own

At first it might not look like much

But stay a while and youll find
One day youll find yourself living here
With your old life far behind
With a military base only miles away
I wouldnt trade my home for another, any day.
