Thing 1
1). Use your Tech Quiz results to fill in any learning gaps you found (watch the specific
videos or readings and apply them). Model something you learned with a peer or your
students. In your Digital Portfolio write a paragraph which includes the following four
areas: a summary of your own results, something new you learned, what you modeled
and to whom, and how this process (Quiz-quiz results-tutorials-practice skills) worked.

I was hurt because on my first attempt I was only able to get 50% of the questions
correct, but when investigating closer at some of the answers I gave, I dont understand how

anyone could get question number ten and six wrong. This makes me perplexed and a little
disappointed because I took this little quiz as a loss and I hate losing! The five questions that I
got wrong were the following: Question #3 comfort with the ISTE Standards for Teachers,
Question #4 knowing and being familiar with AUP, Question #6 typing 40 words per minute
with no errors, Question #9 knowing the difference between Malware and Viruses as well as
Question #10 which was sharing the types of computers I have used. I first sought-out
information for exactly what ISTE Standards were as well as AUP. I found out ISTE Standards
are used to help students gain a better assimilation of technology; AUP are just constraints that
you must agree to when accessing a corporate network or the internet. I dont see why I got
Question #9 wrong because for the most part I understand the difference between Malware and
Viruses; I dont understand how anyone can get Question #10 wrong because they are asking
you what you use. Despite some of the craziness, this tutorial helped me on some things that I
needed to know and learn to be successful in this course as well as in the education field so I am
happy I was able to review and them.
2). Open your school (or work) web site in a browser, and the 21things4teachers site
in another window. Arrange these side by side and take a screenshot for your Digital
Portfolio to identify where you will be applying your knowledge from this course.
