Deconstruction

Mise en Scene

Ordinary, everyday clothing - high street but supposed to be dressed up.

Domestic location - Grimm looking, house, pub, streets - lack of status and
class
Natural and filler lighting used - natural appearance of everything
Grimm lighting - makes things look dull.

Camera

Low angle - show looks of being upset and adds drama

Over the shoulder mid shot - look on Ronnies face - dramatic, look of
horror and shock.
Low angle of Ronnie - she has the most dominance at this moment and she
is the one in control.
Extreme long shot of the street and Danielle being thrown out.

Editing

Echoed sound bridge - matches the images of who is being talked about,
Ronnie and Danielle.
Fades to black - looks dramatic
Slow edit of Peggy turning around - dramatic and shocking look. Assumed
audience knows the storyline about Peggys wedding.
BBC one at the bottom of the screen - ties to audience.

Sound

Non-diegetic song - sad, lyrics match Danielle's situation "and she will be
loved".
During the argument (diegetic) there is a pause in the music, to build tension
and drama during the conflict.
When the music returns it is from the chorus, which shows intensity from
the link to the lyrics.
"its too late"
"The locket" - relates back to the beginning and the ending of the clip.
Ends with Eastenders theme song into a dramatic bang.
