My educational philosophy centralizes around my own experiences both academic and
personal. It is form these examples throughout my lives which have allowed me to grow and develop into a stronger educator. Much like many individuals you may ask, I have always strived to become a teacher and more importantly a leader within my own community. Early on in my high school career, it became blatantly apparent to me that I wanted to convert my passion for education and specifically the subject of history into a thriving career. My passion for history is one that is very often hard to express to other individuals. I find that the fundamental aspects of our society are deeply rooted within the context of both past events and moments that have previously occurred. With this understanding, I feel as though history provides insight into the motives and ideals that have and will someday exist and shape our evolving future. However, it is understandable as to why students may find the vast content of social studies both daunting and excessive. My hope as an educator is to ensure that I am able to effectively guide passionate social studies students and to ignite a greater understanding within pupils who may not have the same love for the subject. My mission as an educator is to provide encouragement within my lesson plans and furthermore ensure that I am capable of tackling specific aspects of social studies in differing manners which makes learning more accessible to all. I also hope to encourage my students to take an active role within their communities and observe their own personal roles in ongoing history. I also feel as though in order to be an effective educator, one must also make their presence felt beyond the classroom. I hope to be a resource for students for both academic and personal needs. I attempt to take an active role as a leader within the school. Through this I hope
to ensure that I can establish a positive rapport with students and establish a further presence within the academic community.
