Using PRTG to monitor Network traffic Guideline

1. Installation PRTG Network Monitor


1.1. Install the software that is in the Setup folder.
1.2. When prompted for a serial number, install the Freeware Edition.
1.3. After the installation process finished close the "PRTG Server.exe" (CTRL +
ALT + DEL, Processes tab).
1.4. Stop the two services "PRTG Core Server" and "PRTG Probe Service" (start
menu, execute, services.msc).

1.5. Copy the crack file contained in the installation folder by default. "C: Program
Files (x86) PRTG Network Monitor".
1.6. Restart computer or Restart both services previously stop "PRTG Core
Server" and "PRTG Probe Service".

2.3 Enable SNMP on Windows


2.3.1 Start Control Panel Programs and Features Turn Windows and
features on or off Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) OK

2.3.2 Start Computer Manage (Right click and Select) Services and application
Service SNMP Service.

2.4 Add Device in PRTG Network Monitor
