House Style

I will use a white colour for the font that will be seen on top of the E4 logo as the white will
stand out against the purple logo and the black background. It is also a conventional feature
of an E4 logo and by mimicking it I can make my poster look more professional.
I will use a black background underneath the images of my characters as it will make the
poster look more dramatic and connote the dark times that the teenage characters are going
through. The black will also help the purple E4 logo to stand out, helping to advertise it to
the audience.
I will also use the purple that is used in the E4 logo as this is a conventional house style that
is used repeatedly on the channel. By making my poster match these conventions the
audience will recognise it and it will be more realistic as it will be similar to other posters
they have seen before.

I plan to use the font American Typewriter as this is a conventional font for the E4 channel that can be
seen with the logo. By using this font, it is made apparent to the audience that the show is being
broadcast on E4 and fans will recognise these conventions without even reading the logo. By using
conventions of the channel my poster will look more professional and fans of the channel will be
persuaded to watch the soap as they will know of other E4 productions that they enjoy so will have
developed a trust with the channel to show programmes that they are going to enjoy.
