- It is branch of public law which deals
with the organization and operation of
the government organs of the state and
defines the relations of the state with the
inhabitants of its territory. (People vs
Perfecto, 43 Phil. 887)

3. Corporation
- It is an artificial being created by
operation of law, having the right of
succession and the powers, attributes
and properties expressly authorized by
law or incident to its existence. (Sec. 2,
Corporation Code.)
4. Classes of Corporations: Public and Private
Corporations, distinguished.

It is one created by the state either
by general or special act for
purposes of administration of local
government or rendering service in
the public interest.
