Van Allen radiation belt is a layer of energetic charged particles that is revolving around the earth.

It is a radiation belts surrounding earth

Most of the particles that form the belts are thought to come from solar wind and other particles by cosmic ray.

The belts are located in inner region of the earths magnetosphere.

The belt endanger satellites, which must protect their sensitive components with adequate shielding if then orbit
spends significant time in the radiation belt.

It was discovered by James Van Allen.
