I

am Ready
By GAParagas

When I was a child,
It was easy counting one, two, three
With pictures and toys for me to see
I was a tot, and thought it was easy
Breezing through each number in the nursery

Going through middle school appear to be simple
Even if the world of numbers has gone triple
Addition, multiplication, division and subtraction
Add fractions and problem solving of operations
All these were easy calculations

Here I am at sweet thirteen
Realizing that the topic gets harder as always been
The numbers that I know
Have become alphabets and symbols
Just to find the unknown values and save me the trouble

Lo and behold it does not stop there
I have to think algebraically, instead of arithmetically
It is thinking logically about numbers
Rather than computing numbers manually

I get so high if I solve them right
The price for loving numbers and letters
Pay a prize
Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry
Wait for me, because I am ready
