Respected Sir,
Sub: Irregularities in question paper of VLSI Structures for Signal Processing (2008 scheme)
This is in reference to the VLSI Structures for Signal Processing (Question paper code
1117) examination for S8 B.Tech Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering held
on 02/05/2014. There were some irregularities in the question paper as listed below:
i)
ii)

iii)

Part - A : Questions 5, 6 out of syllabus and question 6 contains a confusing

abbreviation.
Part - B: Module II Question 14 portions included in syllabus dealt up to 3 tap
filters only. The question was about 24 tap filter and the method asked to solve
this was also not included in the syllabus.
Part - B: Module III Question 17, 19 out of syllabus. Supposedly the given
questions have been taken from the M. Tech portions of VLSI structures.

A copy of the syllabus and the concerned question paper is attached herewith.
We kindly request you to make necessary amendments in the evaluation procedure of the
concerned examination so that the students will not suffer due to the discrepancies in the
question paper. Thank you.
Yours Faithfully,
