Message: Worship Is More Than a Song

We were created for worship

We are all worshipers, we were all created to bring pleasure and glory to the
God who made us.
Worship: show respect, fall or prostate before, to do reverence or homage to
someone; a sense of reverence and respect and honor.
Louis Giglio: Follow the trail of your time, your affection, your energy, your money and
your loyalty. At the end of the trail you'll find a throne and whatever or whomever is on
the throne is what is of highest value to you. And on that throne is what you worship.

From beginning to end, people have worshiped God

Revelation 22:8-9 Worship God:

Worship is a normal response to the presence of God - The

created catching a glimpse of the Creator
King David at seeing the Ark of the Covenant enter Jerusalem 2 Samuel 6
Miriam at the victory at the Red Sea

How do we express our worship?

With our voices surely ... He inhabits the praises of His people Psalm 22:3
Psalm 34:1 I will bless the Lord at all times, His praise shall always be upon my lips

But our worship must be more than a song

Matthew 15 89 My people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me; in vain to do they worship me.

Amos 5:8-9 Worship that misses the heart of God is rejected by God
Why do you call me Lord, Lord and do not do the things I command?
Our worship is to be in Spirit and Truth John 4:23-24
John 4: 24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.

We are now to offer our own lives as living sacrifices. Romans 12:1-2

Romans 12:1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of Gods mercy, to offer your bodies as a living
sacrifice, holy and pleasing to Godthis is your true and proper worship.

Conclusion
John 15:8 Herein is my father glorified that you bear much fruit;

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you !
