Tokyo Stock Exchange The TSE is located in Tokyo, Japan. It is now the third
largest stock exchange in the world. The Tokyo Stock Exchange Co., Ltd. was
initially established on May 15, 1878. On June 30, 1943, the Japan Securities
Exchange was formed by merging all existing stock exchanges in Japan. The
Japan Securities Exchange was dissolved in April of 1947. The Tokyo Stock
Exchange of today emerged in the years after World War II.
The current Tokyo Stock Exchange was founded on April 1, 1949, almost two
years after the Japan Securities Exchange was dissolved. It took until October
1966 for government bonds to be traded. The foreign stock and bond section was
opened in 1973 Sony was the fifteenth most active on the TSE in November 2011.
It is trading at around $17.50 with a three-month average volume at almost 1.3
million shares. Sony develops, manufactures, and markets electronic gear for
both individuals and industry.

New York Stock Exchange


The New York Stock exchange is made up of five rooms used for trading and is found 18 Broad Street,
New York City. The NYSE can trace its roots to 1792, It did not become the New York Stock Exchange
until 1817 when the organization drafted a constitution.

It is the largest stock exchange in the world in the amount of dollars that flows through it each day and
has the second largest number of company listing, exceeded only by NASDAQ.(National Association of
Securities Dealers Automated Quotation)The global capitalization of the exchange is $2.1 trillion with
$1.7 trillion of that being companies not based in the U.S. The NYSE are like audction they each
company listest trades on different location, A specialist broker employed by each of the listed companies
has the job of acting as an auctioneer at the company post (event). Buyers and sellers of a certain stock
come together around a particular post and an auction takes place where people will sell their items or
trade for something better kinda like when marilyn monroe passed away and auctioneer were selling her
collection of clothes and jewels. but the companies sell stocks to companies or people.The NYSE has
been made famous by a number of big budget Hollywood movies such as benjamin button starting brad
pitt was made big by NYSE. In 1920 a bomb was planted on Wall Street right outside the NYSE building.
it exploxed killing 33 people and injured more then 400 people and causing the building to be damaged.
The govenerment has stated that terroists are the ones who planned the bomb and capture,other sites state
that the government did that just like what they did on 9/11. Mark Hurd is the new ceo for the NYSE
since Larry Ellison has stepped down in september 2014. (NASDAQ, NYSE, & AMEX) are the three
companies the NYSE is working with.

History of the American and NASDAQ Stock Exchanges


The American Stock Exchange (AMEX) got its start in the 1800's and was known as the "Curb Exchange"
until 1921 because it met as a market at the curbstone on Broad Street near Exchange Place. Its
founding date is generally considered as 1921 because this is the year when it moved into new quarters
on Trinity. However, it wasn't until 1953 that it officially became the American Stock Exchange. In
November 1998, the National Association of Security Dealers announced that the American Stock
Exchange would merge with the National Association of Securities Dealers creating "The Nasdaq-Amex
Market Group." However, the American Stock Exchange remained as an active exchange.
